I’m so excited to share this one with you. Morning Breakfast, the next release from Somewhere Still, arrives Friday, October 30, 2026—and the feeling behind it is something I think a lot of us will recognize.

Think about those childhood Saturday mornings. A bowl of cereal, cartoons on the TV, and a whole day ahead of you. No big plans. No rush. Just that little feeling of joy in an ordinary moment.

That’s the place I wanted this music to take us.

A little doorway back

Somewhere Still has always been about connection through memory. Not just remembering a place, but remembering how it felt to be there. The warmth. The comfort. The little things we didn’t know we would miss one day.

With Morning Breakfast, I wanted to spend a little time in that feeling. The piano and soft textures leave room to slow down, while the nostalgic sounds bring us a little closer to that Saturday morning scene.

There are two versions: one with nostalgic sound effects, and an instrumental version. Same heart, with a little different way to experience it. I love that you can choose the one that fits your moment.

The joy of sharing it

There’s something really special about taking a feeling that lives in your head and finally getting to share it. That’s the part I’m excited about. Not just putting another song out, but hearing what it brings back for someone else.

Maybe it reminds you of your childhood home. Maybe it’s a person, a room, or a morning you haven’t thought about in years. Your memory might look completely different from mine, and I think that’s part of what makes music so beautiful.

Music for somewhere you’ve been before.
